Life’s Passing by……

Ho Humm……….So many days since I’ve penned some words onto this blog.Itz feelin’ parched without the drops of my creativity quenching its thirst (sic!) But I can’t help it…..to speak the truth! Life’s so busy nowdays that to take a leisurely pee, I have to wait till da weekend!!! Daily schedules are crammed with activities of the-day-before and planning for those of the morrow. All I do is Wake-cleanup-get to work-work-return-eat-sleep and repeat the same again till the frikkin’ week is over!!

Thankfully, last weekend saw myself break off from that mould and visit da Seven Hills for a change…well, not xactly change as my folks were visiting the temple town and I dropped in to say Hi over da weekend. But the joy was shortlived as the To & Fro journey took away my already-low stamina and really frayed my nerves to the point of collapse! But heyy, Life’s like that! And I better stop wheezing & ranting & Complainin……….ahh…..what one has to do to fill up blog pages :-)

Though this news was some days old, I was having a discussion on it with Friends & Colleagues and we more or less were on the same track, condemning it and highlighting the darkness that the Indian IT industry was facing both as an aftermath of this issue as well as other factors. Most of us friends work late and this prompted a comment from one guy which, albeit was funny, sullened the mood somewhat! He Quipped, "Thank Goodness our cab driver is not a Female!!!" (Sic!)

HP & the GoF.

Cannot believe that I wasted 180 bucks on as lame a flick as this!!! I was never a big fan of HP but the first & third ones were kinda enthralling. 2nd one was a dud I felt. Same can be said of the fourth one.

Can understand that most fans loved the move and the box-office results reflect that. But hidden among the euphoria are many Disgruntled voices of genuine fans who lamented the short length of the move and chopping of many scenes from the book.

To start with, my chief grouse with the movie is the pace of the flick. At times it was too pacy & at times, it was dragging. Not Riveting stuff at all!!! Too many loose ends were left and many Q's were left unanswered. To those who read the book, it may have made sense; but to non-HP-readers like me, it would be baloney! Some of the missed thingz were: Continue reading

World Aids Day-Dec 1st

I wanted to post this on 1st itself, but was busy.

1st December is the World Aids Day. IMHO, humanity should not wait for any single day to combat this dreaded disease. Millions of people struggle for survival and try to conquer this ‘demon’.They need support of people like you & me. Let’s not limit our show of solidarity to any single day of the year. Let it ba show of character, of spirit, of resilience. Let us stand up for showing our support.

Each inividual should show unique strength of character & commitment to fight against this disease. And Remember the slogan that we hear on TV: AIDS ki jaankaari hi AIDS se Bachaav hai . Meanng: The more the awareness about aids, the more people will be protected against it.
