The Da Vinci Code - Reviews & Talks
Barely had i posted the entry regarding the showing of the movie The Da Vinci Code , the critics have torn apart the movie, labelling it as a 'forgettable' , 'lukewarm' and a 'dud' of a movie! My friend Gyanster was amongst the first to attract my attention to the movie's review by Melbourne's The Age. Read the review here.
Excerpt: The Da Vinci Code drew lukewarm praise, shrugs of indifference, some jeering laughter and a few derisive jabs from arguably the world's toughest movie crowd: critics at the Cannes Film Festival.
Meanwhile, Roger Friedman of The Fox News has labelld Da Vinci Code as a "good movie". Read all about his take on the move here. Another of the reviewers, however wasn't very condescending though. The Scotsman reported that DVC was variously referred to as 'plodding' and 'unwieldy'. Read more here. Thats all there it is form the critics point-of-view but what about the viewers? I can't say for sure since it hasn't been released worldwide yet! But some people have seen it and have aired their views,comments and critiques over at IMDB. Check out the user comments here.
