The Formula 1 Circus now moves to Britain for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and with the Soccer World Cup hogging all the news and the limelight, it was a low-key affair of sorts. Saturday Qualifying saw Renault's Fernando Alonso clinch the Pole position with McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen putting in a strong drive right at the end of the second session to take the 2nd Position.
Both the Ferraris will occupy the second row with early pace-setter Michael Schumacher in 3rd and his teammate Felipe Massa in 4th place.Giancarlo Fisichella was 5th in the other renault with Rubens Barrichello in 6th,Ralf Schumacher in 7th, Juan Pablo Montoya in 8th, & the two BMW Saubers of Nick Hiedfeld and Jacques Villeneuve taking 9th and 10th Positions.
The Biggest loser of the day was homeboy Jenson Button who will start the Race in 19th position and chances of him getting onto the podium all but gone. With McLaren showing improvement and Renault being as consistent as ever, not to forget the two Ferraris on row 2, it should be one helluva race tomorrow
