Its expensive! Does it come locked or can you unlock it?
Oh well, here in the US, the long-term cost is pretty high too. Upgrade your phone to an iphone (if its older than 18 months) for $199 or buy a new iphone 3G for $399. And monthly data plan should be at least $29.99. This is separate from the other costs (included minutes, taxes, etc).
And you got to have a 2 year contract for it. Break the contract and end up paying a huge fine of $200.

It comes tied-up with the Vodafone Talk plans. Dunno whether any other SIM can be used on it!
Cost + Calls would come about to 950$ for a year.

Expensive! And GPS isn’t even used in India.
Rs. 31,000 is like a month’s pay for a fresher Vz employee. The equivalent of a months’ pay here can get you 20 iphones.

In S’pore it hardly costs 9000 rupees, but its for a 2year contract. Its waste to buy it in India spending more than 30k.

30K is too much. And to go for a Airtel / Vodafone contract along with it is just non-sense. Would have made sense if the gadget was priced at 15-20k. BUt not now. I guess I’ll wait for the prices to fall. Only a matter of few months.

Well, they get the phone into India, they keep the customers!
What if Airtel announces it at 20K?
and I don’t think the prices will fall any soon….
