Vector – The Game

For those of you who’ve been wondering what was keeping me away from writing more often on the blog, the answer is pretty obvious: Work. And for those of you who don’t believe that, I’ve got another answer: Play

Amongst others, one game that I’m majorly hooked onto nowadays is a Parkour-styled run n’ escape game called Vector. Yes it is the one of the umpteen keep-running games like Temple Run or  Subway Surfers but for me it is slightly better than those two. I prefer the horizontal running style as compared to the linear one in TR or SS, maybe it was all those years of playing Contra for 50 bucks an hour at Relax Parlour behind St. Vincent’s!

As with any game, there is quite a backstory to this one: you escape from the prison-esque situation of being in a controlled environment where an unseen force manoeuvres you each step of the way with neural sensors. And what do you do after escaping? You run, of course! You run across rooftops, penthouse offices, construction cranes et al with a combination of freestyle running and neat parkour styled combo moves. See the video after the jump.

New Year Wishes

Wishing you all a Very Happy & Prosperous New Year! May 2012 not end as soon as the Mayans predicted…

Happy New Year 2012

P.S: If you didn’t read my ‘Old’ New Year Poem yet, suggest you head over here and check it out.

New Year Wishes…

Happy New Year 2011

I bid a fond farewell to the bygone year
2010 is gone and 2011 is here

Long and hard did I sit and think
But in the end I just edited the link

A good poem had I last year penned
Dunno if all you who read it sneered

Words may be new but the feeling is the same
May the New Year bring you happiness and fame

The decade ended and the year even
Wishing you all a Happy New Year 2011

We can haz Reblog! (via WordPress.com News)

Tired of copy-pasting or including a link to a blogpost you liked and wanted to share with your own readers? Ever thought of a process by which you can share some amazing content with others with just a few clicks? And not simply via, ahem, a cumbersome *Retweet* button?

Fret not. The folks at WP have extended this awesomeness into a feature called “Reblog”. This, my friends is the “Retweet” of WordPress. “Reblog”. How original, huh!

We All Like to Reblog Have you ever come across a blog post that you enjoyed so much you wanted to easily share it with the readers of your own blog? Sure, you can copy and paste the link and perhaps even a snippet of text with your own comments, but overall it’s not a particularly enjoyable experience. We wanted to change this and make sharing other posts with your readers as easy as posting to your blog. Today we’re introducing a new like and reblog feature enabled … Read More

Mysore Mini Trip – Pics

The guys at WordPress are genuises! Otherwise how’d they figure out I had a bunch of pics ready to be posted and to save me trouble of putting them up at some 3rd party sites like Slideshare, launched their nifty li’l images-as-a-slideshow feature?

I’d been to Bengaluru and then to Mysore on a whirlwind short trip with folks and below are some of the snaps taken with my phone.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

There’d been much more than just these pics if it were not for some dumbo (ahem…who some say was me!) had not forgotten the digicam in the back of the car as we returned from a tiring trip!

New Year Wishes…

As the old rolls out and comes the new
Hope it brings cheers and joy anew
Let the sorrows and hardships of the year last
Be long gone and something that’s left in the past

Usher in the new year with friends and family
Spread the happiness and celebrate ordinarily
A close gathering is best of the lot
Coz opulence and gaiety are soon forgot

Newer challenges and goals are that lie ahead
Chuck the failures and put them to bed
Cast your net afar and wide
The new decade will turn the tide

Be true to what you believe and cast away your fear
Rue not the sorrow that brought you a tear
Keep your friends close and so too your near and dear
Remember that I’ve penned this to wish you a Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year 2010

Nawa Phone – The SE C510

Time for a new post? Well yeah, coz it was time for a new phone. The (till-yesterday) current one – the Sony Ericsson K700i – had been a trusted companion for close to 5-and-a-half years and if it wasn’t for a Godzilla-esque downpour a couple of months ago that wet it completely and caused the battery to get conked out, at the slowly rate of a few watts a day, it would have easily lasted for a couple of years more. Another reason for me to hate rains

Anyways, the time was nigh to hunt out a new Sony Ericsson (well yeah, for me a SE will always be the true cellphone) and I had picked out the G900 as THE ONE to be moi new cellphone for the forthcoming future…but little did I know that the SE guys had discontinued it and whatever pieces that were in the market had already been snapped up :(

So, amidst much deliberation and some careful cash-balance consideration, I picked out the Sony Ericsson Cyber-Shot C510 as my nawa cellphone…

Sony Ericsson C510

Its a good looking one with all the features that a normal “cellphone plus internet-savvy plus casual photographer plus organiser” user would need and some more…including Facebook, Google Maps, Video Calling and more. You can read the full specifications of this one over here.

It cost me around INR 9k and came with a 1GB M2 Card, a 1-Yr warranty, data cable & Bass Reflex earbuds plus a free Reebok T-Shirt . I’ve already taken an instant liking to it! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll get back to exploring it further

How time flies!

It just feels like yesterday when I started penning some mundane thoughts on some free blog site that I happened to get hold of as I downloaded some free browser. That was exactly four years ago, to the day. Today, My Wierd Wired World completes its fourth year of existence on the blogosphere.

Four Years of

I know that I’ve not been as regular as I’d like to be and more often than not, there’re more F1 posts than any really creative or emotional stuff (is that due to the fact that I’m losing moi creativity and have voluntarily get rid of my emotions?). As usual, a big thanks to all the regular and irregular visitors and commenters who’ve been visiting this blog and keeping the counters ticking (they’re more crawling now as compared to having been fairly galloping some months ago!)

Happy Birthday to MWWW
