The 39th Annual meeting of the ADB i.e. Asian Development Bank’s Board of Governors is being held in Hyderabad and the impending visit of the Prime Minister, Mr.Manmohan Singh, tonight, caused the traffic to be thrown out of gear for most part of the evening on the Hitex-Begumpet stretch 👿 My commute from Office to home ,which normally takes half-an-hour, took me more than 2 hours!!! Thanks to this meeting !!!
This, despite the assurances of the traffic department that there will be no jams! I guess we Hyderabadis have to learn to live with that.
Cyberabad deputy commissioner of police (traffic) J.G. Murali said on Tuesday: “We have identified five routes where the participants will be reaching Hitex, the venue for the ADB meet, from the place where they are lodged.” The routes are Jubilee Hills Checkpost to Hitex via Kavuri Hills, Mehdipatnam to Hitex via Gachibowli Crossroads, Secunderabad to Hitex via Balanagar, Kukatpally and Bhel to Hitex via Kondapur.
