Yet again, I couldn't watch the Qulifying session of the European Grandprix at Nurburgring on Television but this time I managed to catch the Live timing on their Website!
Renault's Fernando Alonso took his first pole position of this season at the Nurburgring for the 2006 FORMULA 1™ Grand Prix of Europe. The Spaniard clocked a fastest time of 1 Min 29.819 seconds to grab pole position. Michael Scumacher had to be content with 2nd Position and one can expect some heady stuff from the two past champions! Ferrari's Felipe Massa lines up in 3rd position with Honda's Rubens Barrichello who stole P4 from Kimi Raikkonen at the last minute. Mclaren had an off day with both their drivers setting good times in the 2nd stint but not getting in the top 3 for the race. Kimi slots in at 5th alongside Jenson Button. Jarno Trulli and Jack Villeneuve were 7th and 8th as Montoya and Webber complete the top 10. Webber however will move 10 places down the grid because of an engine change and that promotes Ralf Schumacher into 10th Place.
The Full grid can be seen Here.
